The Home Child Care Network (HCCN) In-home 2nd and 3rd shift child care, weekend care, special needs care Our Mission - The Home Child Care Network is dedicated to improving families' access to quality home child care. We strive to raise the quality standard for in-home child care by seeking out qualified providers and by offering professional support and training to providers in our network. The Home Child Care Network, established in 1996, is a FREE, non-profit program that connects licensed in-home caregivers and families while assuring quality care. We serve Henry, Rock Island, Mercer, and Knox counties through our Quad Cities office, and we serve Tazewell, Peoria, Woodford, McClean, and Monroe counties through our Peoria, Illinois office. Providers agree to offer care to children whose families receive assistance through DHS, and they agree to deliver an in-home program based on Skip-a-Long's mission of quality care and getting children school-ready. They receive the free support of Skip-a-Long staff and services including personalized home visits, training and grant writing assistance, and curriculum/supplies delivery. License-Exempt Providers In addition to offering a wealth of services to licensed home providers who are affiliated with our network, we also offer a program for license-exempt providers who wish to improve on the quality continuum.
